Eating alone

Me?
At table alone?
But didn’t you see them
All of them around me?
Fay trying so hard with the food
And Chris refusing every dish?
Didn’t you hear me shouting at Philly
To put her book away?
Didn’t you hear Estella
Excusing herself for being late?
And didn’t you hear Fayce telling Maliza
Not to leave all of us at table?
Didn’t you see me grabbing
The biggest slice of the pawpaw?
And Fayce eating rice without sauce
When all of us had finished?
They were all there!
That’s why I was so alone!
