Are you a writer passionate about Nigerian literature? Here’s your chance to have your work published in the prestigious ANA REVIEW (No. 13)! The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) invites submissions from writers across various genres for its upcoming edition.
Accepted Genres and Guidelines
Submissions are open in the following categories:
1. Poetry
- Maximum of two poems per person.
- Each poem should not exceed 30 lines.
2. Prose (Short Stories & Creative Nonfiction)
- Must be under 4,000 words.
3. Academic Essays (Nigerian Literature-Focused)
- Essays should not exceed 5,000 words.
- Must follow the MLA citation style.
4. Drama (Short One-Act Plays)
- Maximum 3,000 words.
Submission Guidelines
- All submissions must be in MS Word format and sent as attachments via email.
- The first page should include:
- Author’s full name
- Genre of submission
- Contact address
- Telephone number
- Short bio-data of the writer.
- Submissions must be in Times New Roman, UK English, Font size 12, double-spaced.
- Authors should thoroughly edit their work before submission.

About ANA
The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) was founded on June 27, 1981, during a landmark conference convened by the late Professor Chinua Achebe at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. The event brought together notable figures in Nigerian literature, along with distinguished Kenyan writers Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o and Gacheche Wauringi. Since its inception, ANA has been committed to the growth and promotion of Nigerian literature.
